Nice to meet you!

I’m Ruth avila

Beginning therapy is a profound and courageous step, yet it is completely normal to feel apprehensive about the process.

Often, the act of reaching out is an anxiety-inducing experience - you may be grappling with the pressure of feeling like you need to have things figured out, or you may be worried about finding someone who truly understands your unique path.

I am here to offer a space where you can set those pressures aside. I provide therapy for adults navigating the weight of anxiety, depression, and the complexities of life transitions. My goal is to alleviate that uncertainty by offering a consistent, safe environment where we can work together at your own pace. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English and am committed to providing accessible, culturally responsive care.

I am guided by the belief that:

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
— Viktor Frankl.

My hope is to help you discover that space within yourself, recognize the power of your choices, and harness that agency to foster personal growth and greater freedom in your life.
