Hello!

I’m Lucy Miller

Asking for help is a vulnerable act. Many feel overwhelmed enough by their day to day life, let alone adding another appointment to their calendar. The first step to change is self awareness, and great change has already started simply by reaching out.

I understand that people are complex and multifaceted. That’s why I utilize a humanistic holistic approach. My work is client centered allowing you to navigate your journey. I realize that individuals may need more direction, and I can offer a clearer step wise process to better support your goals.

Above all, I value the relationship that is built, as this helps facilitate healing the most.  I understand the critical human need to feel safe, so I aim to always be empathetic and gentle in our sessions.

My Approach

I know how difficult it can be to navigate life’s many challenges and pressures. From self esteem, to motherhood, trauma, belonging, intimacy, burnout, and femininity, I recognize the immense pressure women feel to navigate their purpose. Not only so, but I have witnessed internal pain express itself as anxiety, perfectionism, depression, anger, control, withdrawal, isolation, guilt and shame.

And that’s where I can meet you.

I understand that people live in systems that involve parents, partners, children and coworkers and I help women set boundaries so that they can help themselves live in peace in their relationships.

The most healing part of therapy is the relationship that is built between the therapist and client. This is my strength as a clinician. I genuinely care for all my clients and am able to provide them empathy and comfort during heavy emotional times. I am able to “be with” without judgement or expectation creating a safe space.

Making sure we are a good fit is incredibly important to the process of being vulnerable. The first sessions are designed to build rapport as well as gather information and set goals. A relationship is established over time and trusting the process can be hard. We will have ongoing conversations about your feelings of comfort as well as finding common ground in our communication.
